Overview

Welcome to the Airports Council International Security for Airport Executives course.

Effectively managing security is an important step in ensuring the well-being of the airport industry and in protecting the travelling public.

This course is designed to provide airport executives and managers with guidance and best practices on the management of security including why security is important, its potential impacts and the risk it poses to airport operators.

The course provides an overview of aviation security considerations and describes best practices and regulatory considerations including global aviation standards and recommended practices.

This course is not intended to provide the knowledge and skills of a security professional. Rather, it is intended to provide a high-level understanding of the security issues that may affect the operation of an airport.
